Job Overview: The Analyst position within the Green Partnerships team of the Donor Partnerships department at EBRD is crucial for managing donor resources aimed at addressing climate change and environmental degradation. The role involves analyzing financial information, managing donor funds, and ensuring compliance with donor agreements. The Analyst will be responsible for preparing financial reports, providing financial advice, and coordinating with various departments to facilitate the effective use of climate-focused donor funds. This position requires a proactive approach to financial management and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams to achieve the Bank's objectives in sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: managing donor funds by tracking contributions, processing disbursements, and managing fund budgets; reviewing cash positions to ensure sufficient funds for disbursements; preparing monthly cash flow forecasts; analyzing and monitoring climate donor management fees; mapping financial processes to improve internal procedures; continuously analyzing financial situations and preparing reports; implementing internal financial controls; managing and analyzing financial data; interpreting donor agreements and ensuring compliance; maintaining accounting and reporting systems; and preparing high-quality financial reports for donors. The role is designed to allow the Analyst to progressively take on more complex tasks and expand their responsibilities based on their experience and expertise.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field. They should have experience in financial and funds management services, including familiarity with financial management systems such as SAP, preferably within an international organization. Additionally, candidates should have a strong background in analyzing financial information, managing budgets, and conducting financial reporting. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency in Excel and analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis software are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate effective communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
Educational Background: A Master’s degree or equivalent university degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related subject is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary theoretical foundation and practical skills needed to perform the financial analysis and management tasks associated with the role.
Experience: Candidates should have relevant experience in providing financial management services, including experience in analyzing financial data, managing budgets, and preparing financial reports. Experience in an international organization is preferred, as it provides insight into the complexities of managing donor funds and compliance with international financial regulations. The role requires a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Languages: Fluent written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory for this position.
