Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Developing and implementing strategies and programs that align with UNFPA's goals and objectives.
Collaborating with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to enhance the effectiveness of sexual and reproductive health initiatives.
Monitoring and evaluating program outcomes to ensure accountability and transparency in resource management.
Advocating for policies and practices that promote gender equality and protect the rights of women and girls.
Engaging in research and data analysis to inform program development and decision-making processes.
Participating in UNFPA's strategic planning and reporting processes to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong set of qualifications that include a deep understanding of sexual and reproductive health issues, as well as experience in program management and implementation. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to UNFPA's mission and values, with a proven track record of delivering results in challenging environments. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams. Candidates should also exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background is essential for this position. Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health, program management, or related areas. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field of sexual and reproductive health, particularly in developing countries.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, while proficiency in French is highly desirable given the location of the position.
