Job Overview: The Recruitment Officer plays a crucial role in assisting the International Office in building a successful team by ensuring timely and effective hiring processes. This position is responsible for managing the entire hiring process from start to finish, which includes developing and implementing recruiting strategies that align with the International Office's hiring goals. The Recruitment Officer will find and attract talent through various channels, including job postings and professional networks, and will be involved in reviewing applications, conducting initial interviews, and participating in main interviews to assess candidates' skills and fit for the job requirements. Additionally, this role acts as the primary point of contact for candidates, guiding them through the selection process and ensuring a positive experience throughout.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Recruitment Officer include developing and implementing effective recruiting strategies to meet the hiring goals of the International Office. The officer will find and attract talent through job postings and professional networks, review applications, conduct initial interviews, and participate in main interviews to assess candidates' skills and their fit with job requirements. They will act as the primary point of contact for candidates, guiding them through the selection process and ensuring a positive experience. The Recruitment Officer will work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and assist them in selecting the best candidates. Furthermore, they will process all administrative requirements and liaise with HR counterparts in hosting MSF entities to ensure appropriate hiring and integration. The officer will also oversee the onboarding process of new hires and analyze recruitment performance to propose policy and process improvements.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Recruitment Officer position should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and hiring managers. They should have a solid understanding of recruitment processes and best practices, as well as experience in developing and implementing recruiting strategies. Proficiency in using various recruitment tools and platforms is essential, along with the ability to analyze recruitment performance metrics. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to MSF's humanitarian principles and values, ensuring that the recruitment process is safe and fair for all candidates.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required for the Recruitment Officer position. Additional certifications in recruitment or human resources management would be advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to professional development in this area.
Experience: The Recruitment Officer should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in recruitment or human resources, preferably within an international or humanitarian context. Experience in managing the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing candidates to onboarding, is essential. Familiarity with the challenges and dynamics of working in a humanitarian organization will be beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for the Recruitment Officer position, as it is the primary language of communication within MSF International. Proficiency in French or other languages would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with a diverse range of applicants and stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This position offers a permanent contract at 80% capacity, with a starting date as soon as possible. The successful candidate will typically be offered a contract in the MSF office of their country of residence at the time of application. Compensation and benefits will align with MSF's practices and the current package in the MSF entity establishing the contract.
