Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver will be responsible for providing reliable and safe driving services for UNICEF staff and officials. The driver must ensure that the assigned vehicle is well-maintained, which involves performing minor repairs, arranging for major repairs, and conducting regular checks on oil, tires, brakes, and other essential components. Additionally, the driver will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation related to the vehicle, including insurance, registration, and logs of vehicle usage. The driver must also ensure that all necessary supplies, such as a first aid kit and spare parts, are available in the vehicle at all times.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a secondary education and a valid driver's license, along with a thorough understanding of local driving rules and regulations. A minimum of two years of work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy, or UN system is required, with a proven safe driving record. Experience in conflict or post-conflict emergency response is also essential. Candidates should demonstrate a high level of responsibility, courtesy, and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a secondary education, which provides the foundational knowledge necessary for the role. Additionally, candidates must hold a valid driver's license that complies with local regulations, ensuring they are legally permitted to operate a vehicle in Sudan.

Experience:
The position requires at least two years of relevant work experience as a driver, particularly within international organizations, embassies, or the UN system. Languages:
Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory for this position, as effective communication is essential for the role.
