Job Overview:

The TSU plays a crucial role in the implementation of the Mitigation Action Facility, which is a collaborative initiative involving multiple stakeholders, including the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the UK’s Department for Energy security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security & Net Zero, and the European Union, among others. Interns will be actively involved in enhancing the visibility and outreach of the Mitigation Action Facility, focusing on communicating the results, impacts, and lessons learned from funded projects. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to climate change mitigation efforts and develop their skills in communication and project management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are integral to the operations of the TSU. These include supporting strategic communication activities, which encompass content planning, writing, and editing for various platforms such as the organization's website, newsletters, and social media channels. Interns will assist in the preparation of communication materials, including success stories, event summaries, and briefings for both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, they will support the management of the Mitigation Action Facility’s social media presence and ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communication channels. Coordination of internal communication processes within the TSU and collaboration with external service providers will also be part of the intern's duties.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an academic background in fields such as communication science, public relations, political science, environmental studies, development studies, international relations, or a related discipline, with at least a successfully completed Bachelor’s degree. Professional or academic experience in areas related to climate change mitigation, climate finance, development cooperation, or international communication is essential. Excellent writing and editing skills in English are required, along with a strong interest or experience in digital communication, including website content management and social media engagement. Proficiency in the MS Office suite is necessary, and familiarity with design or content creation tools such as Canva, WordPress, or InDesign is considered an advantage. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, team-oriented approach are also important attributes for candidates.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as communication science, public relations, political science, environmental studies, development studies, international relations, or a related area. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of communication within the context of climate action and development cooperation.

Experience:
Candidates should have some level of professional or academic experience related to climate change mitigation, climate finance, development cooperation, or international communication. This experience can be gained through internships, volunteer work, or academic projects that demonstrate a commitment to these fields and an understanding of the relevant issues.

Languages:
