Job Overview: The Network Specialist position within the Network Management Operations Centre (NMOC) is pivotal for optimizing traffic flows in European airspace. The role involves working closely with airport operations teams and airline dispatchers to negotiate and implement effective Air Traffic Flow and Capacity Management (ATFCM) solutions. This includes identifying demand and capacity imbalances, proposing rerouting options, and ensuring that all operations align with the principles of network optimization and collaborative decision-making. The position requires adaptability as it may evolve with the introduction of new systems, necessitating a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication with various stakeholders. The selected candidate will be expected to maintain high standards of operational efficiency and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the NMOC.

Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes relevant studies or professional training that prepares candidates for the responsibilities of the role. Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of five years of recent experience in either airport operations or airline operations. Additional Notes: This position is classified as operational staff and falls within the FCO5-FCO7 job level. The appointment is for an undetermined period, and candidates must be nationals of EUROCONTROL Member States. The role requires the attainment and retention of double validations across operational domains, including Flow Management, Flight Planning, and Airspace Data. Candidates will undergo internal vocational training to earn certification, which is subject to periodic validation. The successful candidate will be appointed at the grade specified in the vacancy notice, and those not selected will be placed on a reserve list for similar roles, valid for one year from the application closing date.
