Job Overview: The Programme Analyst/Field Coordinator position is integral to the effective management of UNFPA's activities in various critical areas, including sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence prevention, and youth programming. This role requires a deep understanding of the humanitarian and development landscape, as well as the ability to analyze and assess trends that impact UNFPA's work. Duties and Responsibilities: The Programme Analyst/Field Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Collaborating with local government authorities, NGOs, and community partners to design and implement country programs and projects that align with UNFPA's strategic objectives.
Establishing and implementing monitoring and oversight mechanisms to ensure program effectiveness and compliance with UNFPA policies.
Analyzing the humanitarian, development, political, social, and economic contexts to identify opportunities for UNFPA interventions.
Reviewing and preparing policy documents, strategy papers, and briefs for technical assistance and policy dialogue.
Assessing the implications of new policies on program execution and integrating them into ongoing activities.
Building collaborative relationships with executing agencies, experts, and other UN agencies to facilitate program delivery.
Implementing knowledge management strategies to capture lessons learned and best practices for future planning.
Supporting advocacy and resource mobilization efforts by preparing documentation and participating in relevant meetings and events.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced degree in health, population, demography, or a related social science discipline. Additionally, they should have at least two years of professional experience in development and population activities, with a focus on program/project management. Practical experience in designing, monitoring, and evaluating development projects is essential, along with proficiency in office software and web-based management systems.
