Job Overview:
The SES Regional Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting UNICEF's fundraising operations by gathering business requirements, conducting business process redesign, and providing support on testing, training, report writing, analysis, and implementation of Salesforce and the Supporter Engagement Strategy (SES) in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Region. This position requires a deep understanding of CRM requirements and the ability to articulate these needs effectively to ensure that UNICEF's fundraising operations are equipped with cutting-edge systems. The specialist will work closely with local market teams, headquarters, and vendors to deliver successful Salesforce-based solutions, ensuring that regional needs are included in global updates. The role also involves analyzing current fundraising processes, supporting business decisions, and improving processes to maximize funds for children's welfare. The specialist will finalize SES implementation in Peru during the consultancy, ensuring that all deliverables are met and that the implementation plan is followed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify and articulate specific CRM requirements with UNICEF offices to ensure effective fundraising operations.
  • Collaborate with local market teams, HQ, and vendors for successful Salesforce solution delivery.
  • Communicate continuously with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide feedback on system design and updates for LAC markets.
  • Analyze current fundraising business processes and document them through user stories.
  • Support the agile development process through story prioritization and backlog grooming.
  • Make recommendations for business decisions based on fundraising and supporter experience perspectives.
  • Guide the technological solution (Sales Cloud) in terms of standard Salesforce and core packages.
  • Identify areas for business process improvement and streamline back-office processes. 1
  • Provide readiness checklists and functionality prioritization for go-live. 1
  • Act as a bridge between global product and localization requirements. 1
  • Keep records of best practices and support knowledge management activities. 1
  • Update the LACRO Digital Space with relevant SES information. 1
  • Collaborate with third-party service providers to create training guides and handbooks. 1
  • Track and update project governance tasks and provide advice on next steps to resolve issues.

Required Qualifications:
An advanced university degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, Engineering, or a relevant field is required. Alternatively, a first university degree in a relevant field combined with two additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible work experience in Project Management or as a Marketing Manager is required. Proven knowledge of fundraising business processes and thorough understanding of Salesforce is essential. Knowledge of Donor Perfect is an asset. Professional technical knowledge and expertise in the use of DevOps, along with extensive experience using various testing methodologies, are required. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and excellent communication skills are also necessary.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in a relevant field such as Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or Engineering. Alternatively, a first university degree in a relevant field combined with two additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of progressively responsible work experience in Project Management or as a Marketing Manager. Candidates should have proven knowledge of fundraising business processes, both in local markets and best practices in a global organization. A thorough understanding of Salesforce and experience in developing business requirements documents are essential.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Spanish is required for the SES Regional Specialist role. Knowledge of Portuguese will also be considered an asset for this position.

Additional Notes:
The consultancy may involve travel on a per-needed basis, which will be paid by UNICEF and is not included in the lump sum fees. Candidates are expected to submit their all-inclusive fees against the deliverables listed, including administrative and travel costs. Selected candidates will not be considered staff members under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures. They will not be entitled to benefits such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage. Selected candidates must ensure that their visa and health insurance are valid for the entire contract period. Additionally, candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a WHO-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment.
