Job Overview: The Product Manager position is a pivotal role within NRC's innovative CLEAR Project, which aims to leverage artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to enhance the humanitarian sector's ability to anticipate and respond to crises. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the product roadmap and aligning various stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into effective digital solutions that empower humanitarian response teams globally. Duties and Responsibilities: The Product Manager will be tasked with developing and maintaining the product roadmap for the CLEAR Project, ensuring that it aligns with project goals, user needs, and NRC's AI strategy. Key responsibilities include defining and prioritizing product requirements, managing the product backlog, and overseeing development cycles in collaboration with engineering, design, and data teams. The Product Manager will lead product launches and adoption initiatives, manage stakeholder expectations, and coordinate pilots and field-testing with country teams. Additionally, the role involves tracking product performance metrics, analyzing user data for continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with NRC policies and ethical AI standards, and overseeing UX/UI design requirements. The Product Manager will also monitor trends in humanitarian technology and generate performance reports and strategic recommendations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess 5-7 years of product management experience in technology, data, or digital transformation contexts. A demonstrated track record of successfully launching and scaling complex digital products from concept through implementation is essential. The ability to translate technical capabilities for non-technical users and operational requirements for technical teams is crucial. Familiarity with modern software development practices, including agile methodologies, API integration, and cloud platforms, is required. Proficiency with product management tools and frameworks, such as user story mapping and prioritization matrices, is also necessary. Experience in conducting user research, usability testing, and human-centered design processes is expected, along with strong data literacy to define metrics and make data-informed product decisions. Candidates should have experience managing multi-stakeholder projects and a good understanding of data science, machine learning, and AI capabilities.

Additional Notes: The position is based in Oslo or at NRC Representation Offices in London, Brussels, Berlin, or EOR Countries including France, Italy, Denmark, Finland, and The Netherlands. Candidates must have the legal right to live and work in any of these countries, as NRC will not provide sponsorship for visas or work permits. The contract duration is set for 2 years, with an expected travel requirement of approximately 30%. The salary and benefits are aligned with NRC's Resident salary scale, which is classified as Grade 9, and includes accompanying terms and conditions.
