Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will have a variety of responsibilities, including conducting research and analysis on transport and logistics issues, drafting papers and documents, and providing support to the Transport Section. Specific tasks include:
- Assisting in research and analysis focused on maritime transport in developing countries, ensuring that the work is evidence-based and incorporates both quantitative and qualitative assessments.
- Supporting the Transport Section by attending and servicing relevant meetings, workshops, and events, and assisting in the implementation of technical assistance projects.
- Preparing digital and paper-based products, such as brochures, presentations, and media materials, to promote the work of the Transport Section, including updating website content.
- Collecting relevant data on transport and logistics, particularly maritime transport, and participating in meetings to prepare summaries of discussions.
- Providing administrative assistance to support the day-to-day activities of the Transport Section as required.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet specific qualifications to be considered for the internship. They should be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program or be in the final academic year of a first university degree program. Additionally, candidates should be computer literate in standard software applications and demonstrate a keen interest in the work of the United Nations.
