Job Overview: The Senior Officer for Supporter Acquisition will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive supporter acquisition program that integrates fundraising and brand engagement strategies. Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a supporter acquisition strategy that aligns with VSO's fundraising goals and brand engagement objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement innovative fundraising campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, and traditional marketing.
Analyze campaign performance data to optimize fundraising efforts and improve engagement with potential supporters.
Support the development of new fundraising products and initiatives that resonate with target audiences.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and volunteers, to enhance VSO's fundraising capacity.
Monitor industry trends and best practices in fundraising and marketing to ensure VSO remains competitive and effective in its outreach efforts.
Contribute to the overall strategic planning of VSO's fundraising activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders to communicate fundraising progress and insights.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in a direct fundraising or marketing role, with a strong track record of delivering successful digital and multi-channel fundraising campaigns.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire supporters.
Strong analytical skills to assess campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
Experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships across diverse groups.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in fundraising or marketing are advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to professional development in the sector.
Experience: Candidates should have substantial experience in fundraising or marketing, ideally within the nonprofit sector. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred, with a focus on digital and multi-channel fundraising strategies. Experience in developing and executing successful campaigns that drive income is essential.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is considered a plus, particularly those relevant to VSO's operational regions, as it can enhance communication with diverse supporter bases.
Additional Notes: This position is a full-time role with a fixed-term contract lasting 12 months. The salary for this position is £46,977 gross per annum.
