Job Overview: The EBRD is seeking candidates for various roles within its Banking division, which focuses on providing project financing to banks, industries, and businesses. The positions available include Analyst, Associate Banker, and Principal Banker, each playing a crucial role in the structuring, implementation, and monitoring of financial transactions. Analysts will be responsible for conducting research, data gathering, credit analysis, and financial modeling. Associate Bankers will support all phases of the project cycle, including due diligence and execution, while Principal Bankers will lead transactions and manage client relationships. The roles require collaboration with a diverse team of specialists and a commitment to delivering tailored financial solutions that meet the unique needs of clients across different sectors and regions.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities for the Analyst position include contributing as a project team member to the structuring, implementation, and monitoring of debt and equity transactions. Analysts will engage in research, data gathering, credit analysis, and financial modeling to support project financing initiatives. For the Associate Banker role, responsibilities encompass supporting all phases of the project cycle, from origination to post-signing monitoring, including conducting due diligence, structuring transactions, and executing financial agreements. Principal Bankers will lead or co-lead transactions, managing origination, structuring, execution, and monitoring, while also playing an active role in client relationship management and policy dialogue. All positions require a strong focus on delivering results under pressure and meeting deadlines within multinational teams.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are desirable. Applicants should have cross-border deal experience gained within an international organization, strong quantitative and financial analysis skills, and experience with credit analysis, international accounting principles, and financial modeling. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related analytical tools is essential, along with the ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines within multi-national teams. Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory for all positions.
Educational Background: The educational background required for these positions includes a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly desirable and may enhance a candidate's competitiveness for the roles.
Experience: The level of experience needed for these positions varies by role. Analysts are typically expected to have some relevant internship or entry-level experience in finance or banking, while Associate Bankers should have a few years of experience in project finance or related fields.
