Job Overview:
The Casework Supervisor for the Home Study and Post-Release Services (HSPRS) program plays a crucial role in overseeing the delivery of services to unaccompanied children in the U.S. This position is part of a national, multi-million-dollar initiative that operates in over 17 offices across the country. The primary responsibilities include providing trauma-informed supervision to Senior Caseworkers and advising Crisis Case Managers. The Casework Supervisor ensures that staff are adequately onboarded, monitors service provision, and maintains adherence to best practices. This role also involves writing monthly reports, monitoring data, and ensuring compliance with changing policies and regulations. The Casework Supervisor is instrumental in ensuring that the services provided are of high quality and meet the contractual requirements for the number of children and families served.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Casework Supervisor will supervise a team of four to six Senior Caseworkers and provide advisory support to Crisis Case Managers. Key responsibilities include monitoring case management services, reviewing documentation for accuracy and timeliness, ensuring compliance with established guidelines, and acting as a point of escalation for complex cases. The supervisor will also ensure that staff are properly onboarded and oriented, provide ongoing professional development, and maintain accurate records in electronic case files. Additionally, the supervisor will liaise with child welfare and law enforcement agencies as necessary, build a referral network for community services, and carry out a small caseload as needed to ensure responsive service delivery. Regular staff meetings will be convened to foster teamwork, especially in a remote working environment, and the supervisor will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and adhering to trauma-informed principles.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a master’s degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of progressive experience in supervisory and case management roles. A minimum of one year of professional experience in Home Study and Post-Release Services is required. Preferred qualifications include three years of management experience, familiarity with program oversight, and compliance with contractual obligations. Candidates should demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to manage complex client situations, and experience in data analysis and report writing. Knowledge of social service systems and experience in multicultural environments are also essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant platforms is required, along with the ability to pass background checks and possess a valid driver’s license.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include a master’s degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services. Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor’s degree and significant relevant experience may also be considered.
