Job Overview:
The Online Volunteer position at WHO EMRO focuses on supporting disease surveillance efforts by monitoring high-threat pathogens (HTPs) such as Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever. Volunteers will play a crucial role in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing datasets that are essential for risk assessment and preparedness in the region. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteers will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Compile and clean datasets related to priority high-threat pathogens.
• Conduct basic analysis of the datasets to identify trends and insights.
• Produce two analytical briefs, each ranging from 5 to 10 pages, summarizing the findings from the data analysis.
• Develop one interactive dashboard or visualization that effectively presents the trends identified in the datasets.
• Ensure that all datasets are well-documented with appropriate metadata to facilitate understanding and future use.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and a background in epidemiology or a related field. Familiarity with data cleaning and analysis techniques is essential. Volunteers should be detail-oriented and capable of working independently while adhering to deadlines. Proficiency in data visualization tools and software is also highly desirable, as it will be necessary for creating the dashboard or visualization.

Educational Background:
A degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, data science, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or coursework in these areas will be considered an asset, as they indicate a deeper understanding of the subject matter and analytical techniques.

Experience:
While prior experience in public health or epidemiology is beneficial, it is not strictly required. However, candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in public health issues and a willingness to learn and apply new skills in data analysis and visualization. Languages:
