Job Overview:
The coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Technical Coordinator position is crucial for the successful delivery of multi-agency projects aimed at improving animal health and production in Lebanon. The role involves overseeing project management, ensuring that all project outputs are met, and facilitating collaboration among various stakeholders, including government entities and donors. The Technical Coordinator will be responsible for resource allocation, monitoring program objectives, and ensuring compliance with FAO procedures. This position requires a proactive approach to project planning and implementation, as well as the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and stakeholder needs. The Technical Coordinator will also play a key role in developing and evaluating animal health programs, ensuring that they align with the strategic goals of the FAO and the specific needs of the Lebanese context.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Technical Coordinator will have a wide range of responsibilities, including: participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of animal health and production programs; leading project planning and ensuring technical coherence across project components; coordinating budget and funding activities; establishing and strengthening relationships with stakeholders; reviewing documents and reports to identify issues and propose solutions; assisting in policy development; supporting the establishment of a robust monitoring and evaluation system; preparing written outputs such as reports and analyses; conducting outreach activities and training workshops; and performing other related duties as required. This role demands a high level of organization, communication, and analytical skills to ensure the effective implementation of projects.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree in Animal Production, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience is required, with a strong understanding of veterinary medicine, animal health, infectious disease management, and animal production. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with project management principles and practices is essential, as is the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of the projects.

Educational Background:
An advanced degree in Animal Production or Veterinary Medicine is mandatory for this position. Candidates should have their qualifications recognized by the World Higher Education Database (WHED), ensuring that their educational background meets international standards. This requirement underscores the importance of having a solid academic foundation in the relevant fields to effectively contribute to the FAO's mission in Lebanon.

Experience:
The position requires at least 7 years of professional experience in the relevant field, particularly in areas related to veterinary medicine and animal health. Candidates with experience working with UN agencies or international NGOs will be given preference. This level of experience is critical to ensure that the Technical Coordinator can effectively manage complex projects and navigate the challenges associated with multi-agency collaboration.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position, as these languages are essential for communication with stakeholders and for the preparation of reports and documentation.
