Additionally, the intern will be involved in creating logos, infographics, and illustrations, as well as assisting in the production of animated short films. Duties and Responsibilities: The intern's duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: assisting in the design and layout of information materials such as policy briefs, booklets, flyers, roll-up banners, and social media posts; creating logos, infographics, illustrations, and drawings; assisting in the development of scripts, moodboards, and storyboards for animated short movies; liaising with authors and language colleagues to ensure project specifications and requirements are met; and performing other related tasks as required by the supervisor. The intern will be expected to collaborate effectively with team members and contribute creatively to the design process.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet the following conditions: they must be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), be in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent), or have graduated with a university degree. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in standard software applications, have a keen interest in the work of the United Nations, and possess the ability to interact successfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Previous work experience is not required for this position, but proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Xpress) is mandatory, while knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Premiere, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel, is desirable.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this internship includes being enrolled in or having completed a university degree program. Additional Notes: This internship is expected to last for a duration of two months, with flexible working arrangements available upon written agreement. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations, and all costs related to travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of the interns or their sponsoring institutions. Interns must also provide proof of valid medical insurance coverage for the duration of the internship and submit a medical certificate of good health prior to starting.
