Job Overview: The Senior Program Assistant position at the World Bank involves providing administrative and research support within the Legal Vice Presidency. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Program Assistant include utilizing AI-driven tools for research analysis, implementing AI algorithms to identify legal issues, preparing detailed reports and summaries, conducting research on legal issues, analyzing information, proofreading and editing legal documents, maintaining organized records of research activities, assisting in the preparation of legal briefs, drafting project-related documents, providing general support to the Legal Department, participating in departmental meetings, and supporting the dissemination of product deliverables. The Assistant will also be expected to develop tools for document management and perform ad hoc assignments as requested by senior counsel.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in legal research and document management is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in using varied legal research sources and databases is required, along with the ability to work effectively in a team and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required for this position. Candidates with advanced degrees or specialized training in law or related disciplines may be preferred, as this would enhance their ability to perform the required tasks effectively.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in legal research, administrative support, or a related field. Experience in utilizing AI technologies for legal research and document management is highly desirable, as it will be a key component of the role.
