Job Overview:
The position of International Consultant for Gender and Anti-Corruption Training involves developing a training methodology and conducting training sessions focused on integrating gender perspectives into anti-corruption efforts. The consultant will be responsible for examining how policies and practices affect women and men differently, particularly in the context of corruption. This role is crucial in addressing gender disparities and promoting gender equality within public administration. The consultant will work closely with government institutions and stakeholders to enhance their capacity to implement gender-responsive governance and align with EU standards. The consultant's work will contribute to strengthening institutional integrity and gender responsiveness, ultimately supporting the country's progress towards EU integration and compliance with gender equality obligations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will undertake several key responsibilities, including conducting a desk review of relevant documents and international reports on anti-corruption in North Macedonia, reviewing national legislation related to gender and anti-corruption, developing training methodologies and modules, preparing training materials, and conducting training sessions for government officials. The consultant will also be responsible for providing recommendations based on participant feedback and preparing a final report summarizing the findings and outcomes of the training sessions. The consultant's work will involve collaboration with various stakeholders, including administrative servants, cabinet officials, and special advisors, to ensure effective knowledge transfer and capacity building in gender mainstreaming within the anti-corruption framework.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced academic degree (minimum Master’s) in Gender/Women’s Studies, Development Studies, EU Studies, Law, Public Administration, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree combined with two additional years of relevant professional experience may be accepted. The consultant should have a proven record of advanced knowledge in gender equality and experience in gender mainstreaming, women's rights, and empowerment. Strong analytical and research skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication abilities, are essential. Experience in conducting training, particularly in the justice and anti-corruption fields, is required, and familiarity with UN or EU-funded programs is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced academic degree, preferably a Master's degree, in fields related to gender studies, development, law, public administration, political science, or social sciences. A Bachelor's degree may be accepted if accompanied by relevant professional experience, demonstrating the candidate's capability to fulfill the role's responsibilities effectively.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least five years of experience in gender mainstreaming, women's rights, and gender equality, with a focus on analytical and research work. Experience in conducting gender analysis, assessments, and producing knowledge products related to gender equality is essential. Previous work in the justice and anti-corruption sectors will be viewed favorably, as will experience in training delivery and capacity building with government institutions.

Languages:
Professional proficiency in English, both oral and written, is mandatory for this position. This proficiency is crucial for effective communication and training delivery. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not specified as mandatory.

The consultant's work will be conducted both online and in-person in North Macedonia, specifically in Skopje.
