Job Overview: This position is designed for individuals looking to start their career in office management and commercial administration. As an apprentice in office management, you will be involved in organizing and processing office-related tasks. The role encompasses various responsibilities, including working as an office manager and performing commercial activities in departments such as procurement, finance, human resources, and project management. The apprenticeship begins in August 2026 and lasts for three years, with the possibility of shortening the duration based on individual performance and academic achievements. The vocational school instruction will take place in blocks of 2-5 weeks at the Konrad-Adenauer-Schule in Kriftel, and there may be opportunities for assignments at GIZ's locations in Bonn and Berlin, as well as potential placements in one of the country offices for up to three months. The training will also include participation in internal educational events such as IT courses, communication techniques, and exam preparation courses starting from the second year, ensuring that apprentices are well-prepared for their professional responsibilities and the IHK examinations.
Duties and Responsibilities: As an apprentice in office management, your primary responsibilities will include organizing and managing office tasks, handling commercial activities, and supporting various departments within the organization. You will be expected to assist in procurement and contract management, finance, human resources, and project management. The role will require you to engage in both administrative and operational tasks, ensuring that the office runs smoothly and efficiently. You will also participate in vocational training sessions and internal workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge relevant to the field. Additionally, you will be involved in preparing for examinations and gaining practical experience through various assignments and projects.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess a good secondary school diploma, a higher commercial school diploma, or an equivalent qualification. Strong German language skills, both written and spoken, are essential, along with good English language proficiency. A solid understanding of numbers and good grades in mathematics and German are also required. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for organization and office tasks, as well as strong teamwork abilities.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a good completion of the secondary school level, higher commercial school, or equivalent qualifications.
