Job Overview: The Consultant for Online Course Development will play a crucial role in revising and updating two online training courses focused on Gender Mainstreaming and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment. This position is part of UN Women’s Governance & Participation in Public Life (G&PPL) portfolio, specifically within the framework of the 'Good Governance for Gender Equality in Georgia' project. The overarching goal of this project is to ensure that governance systems are gender-sensitive and promote gender equality in Georgia. The consultant will be responsible for reviewing the existing course content, ensuring alignment with current legal frameworks and international best practices, and enhancing the relevance and effectiveness of the training materials. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Public Defender’s Office (PDO) and software developers, to ensure the successful implementation of the updated courses.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will undertake a comprehensive review and analysis of the existing online training courses on Gender Mainstreaming and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment. This includes identifying areas for revision based on recent legislative and policy developments. The consultant will ensure that all concepts and definitions in the courses align with the current national legal framework and international best practices. Additionally, the consultant will update case studies, data, examples, and interactive components to reflect practical, context-specific scenarios. Coordination with relevant stakeholders, including UN Women and PDO, is essential to validate and finalize proposed revisions. The consultant will also liaise with software developers to ensure the technical aspects of the course updates are effectively managed. Deliverables include a comprehensive desk review, draft content development, final course content submission, and a report on technical support provided to the software developer.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess at least a master’s degree in Gender Studies, Human Rights, Public Policy, Social Science, or related fields. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of seven years of demonstrated working experience in Gender Equality, Women’s Rights, or a related field is acceptable. The position requires at least five years of experience in gender equality and women’s empowerment, as well as experience in supporting capacity development on gender equality and gender mainstreaming. Previous experience working with government, development partners, and civil society stakeholders on capacity development tools for gender equality is a strong asset, as is experience in developing online training courses.
Educational Background: A master’s degree in Gender Studies, Human Rights, Public Policy, Social Science, or other related fields is required. In cases where candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of seven years of relevant experience is necessary to qualify for the position.
