Job Overview:
The Client Support Assistant is responsible for coordinating and performing a comprehensive range of client-related support services within the FAO Shared Services Centre. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and consistency of office workflows and information management. The incumbent will operate independently, making decisions on work priorities and exercising initiative in handling cases that may not have clear precedents. The position requires a proactive approach to client support, ensuring that all inquiries and technical issues are addressed efficiently and effectively. The Client Support Assistant will work closely with various colleagues and external clients, providing procedural guidance and support to enhance the overall client experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Client Support Assistant will be tasked with providing second-line support to resolve client inquiries and technical issues across multiple disciplines, including corporate systems and procedures. Key responsibilities include reviewing and resolving specific client problems, fostering effective client partnerships, and supporting periodic Service Level Agreements (SLAs) performance reviews. The incumbent will identify transaction processing issues, propose adjustments, and participate in testing system changes. Additionally, the Client Support Assistant will maintain the SSC service catalogue, assist FAO personnel with various transactions in the Global Resource Management System (ORACLE), handle incoming queries, draft documents and correspondence, and perform other duties as required. The role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the office and directly impacts the organizational unit's mandate.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a secondary school education and have a minimum of four years of relevant experience in office or management support work, which may include human resources, travel, finance, and general administration. A working knowledge of English at proficiency level C is mandatory, along with very good knowledge of MS Office applications and office technology equipment. Candidates must also be nationals of Hungary or possess a valid visa/work permit and reside within commuting distance of the duty station at the time of application.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is a secondary school education. This foundational education is essential for understanding the administrative and operational tasks associated with the role of Client Support Assistant.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience in office or management support work. This experience should encompass areas such as human resources, travel, finance, and general administration, providing the candidate with a well-rounded background to effectively support the needs of the organization and its clients.

Languages:
A working knowledge of English at proficiency level C is mandatory for this position. Additionally, having intermediate knowledge (level B) of one of the other working languages of the Organization, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish, is considered desirable and can enhance the candidate's qualifications.
