Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Safeguards Information Analyst will lead or participate in analytical teams that address specific science and technology problems related to nuclear safeguards. Responsibilities include conducting and coordinating multiple analytical tasks under time constraints, producing detailed reports that analyze safeguards-relevant information, and assessing State declarations for indications of noncompliance or proliferation. The analyst will also contribute to drafting State evaluation reports, train and mentor staff on open source analysis related to the nuclear fuel cycle, and develop new analytical concepts for the Department of Safeguards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in a relevant field such as physics, chemistry, or nuclear engineering, or a Bachelor's Degree with additional relevant experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the nuclear industry or nuclear non-proliferation is required, along with a strong background in multi-source analysis. Candidates should have proven experience in handling sensitive technical information and knowledge of dual-use technologies related to nuclear non-proliferation. Familiarity with advanced software for information analysis is also advantageous.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include an advanced university degree (Master's) in sciences or technology related to nuclear non-proliferation and analysis. A Bachelor's degree may be acceptable if accompanied by two additional years of relevant experience. Training or qualifications in nuclear non-proliferation within a commercial, national authority, or international organization context are also beneficial.

Experience:
The position requires at least 10 years of relevant experience in the nuclear sector or in nuclear non-proliferation. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to produce high-quality analytical reports and have experience with sensitive technical knowledge at the State level. Experience with dual-use technologies and advanced analytical software is considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish, is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's profile.
