Job Overview: The Project Manager will play a crucial role in the implementation of projects aimed at enhancing Serbia's digital infrastructure and innovation capacities. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring they meet specified results within the constraints of time and budget. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing project staff, and preparing work plans. They will also engage with various stakeholders, including government entities and international partners, to ensure effective project execution and alignment with national priorities. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining focus on project goals.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Manager's responsibilities include: managing designated projects in accordance with UNDP policies, ensuring timely and quality delivery of project outputs, coordinating project activities, supervising project staff, preparing and presenting work plans, mobilizing resources, developing project implementation strategies, monitoring project progress, managing risks, reporting on project status, facilitating events related to digitalization, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Project Manager will also be responsible for establishing partnerships, providing policy advice, and contributing to knowledge management and communication efforts within the project.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in a relevant field, or a first-level university degree (Bachelor's) with additional experience. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in management or coordination positions is required for those with a Master's degree, or 4 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, coordination, and facilitation skills, as well as experience in partnership building and results-based management. Integrity, ethical standards, and a willingness to share knowledge are essential.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in organizational, social, technical, or related fields is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) in the same fields, combined with additional relevant experience, will be considered. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of project management in the context of digital governance and public administration.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience for candidates with a Master's degree, or 4 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Experience in management or coordination roles within international or multilateral development contexts is preferred. Candidates should have a proven track record of participating in projects that involve extensive communication and coordination, as well as experience in building partnerships at various levels.
Languages: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Serbian and English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and partners.
