The selected intern will gain hands-on experience in PSP fundraising development activities that support the refugee cause. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work within the UN system, contributing to the financial planning, monitoring, and reporting processes of the PSP fundraising network. The intern will be involved in various tasks related to budget implementation, resource management, and the development of guidance documents, while also supporting the planning and execution of meetings and events. This role is ideal for individuals who are dynamic, proactive, and have a strong interest in resource management and refugee issues.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: assisting in budget implementation planning, monitoring, and reporting by utilizing various data sources to provide insights through numeric and narrative reports; supporting resource management activities by monitoring implementation rates and assisting with budget reallocations; contributing to the development and revision of internal and external guidance documents; planning and executing in-person and digital meetings and events, including drafting meeting minutes; and providing additional support, including procurement and administrative tasks, to the Operations and Investments team and the wider section.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university-level degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Business and Economics, or International Relations. They should be fluent in English, with advanced writing and editing skills, and have significant experience using the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential, along with design and document formatting abilities. Candidates should be tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and possess strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating a genuine desire to learn and adapt while being a team player.
Educational Background: To be eligible for the internship, candidates must either be recent graduates who have completed their studies within the last two years or current students in a graduate or undergraduate program from an accredited university or higher education institution. Additionally, candidates must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a relevant field related to UNHCR's work.
Experience: Candidates should have relevant experience that may include internships, volunteer work, or academic projects related to resource management, data analysis, or fundraising. While specific years of experience are not mandated, a demonstrated interest in refugee issues and resource management is crucial.

UNHCR will reimburse travel costs for interns coming from outside the country of the duty station.
