Job Overview:
The Financial Analyst position within the IFC’s Treasury Client Solutions Department is a pivotal role that involves client-facing transaction structuring and execution. The department is responsible for providing innovative fixed-income solutions to IFC’s clients, with a global mandate covering derivative transactions, structured products, local currency solutions, and debt capital markets solutions. The successful candidate will join the EMEA team, which focuses on markets in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Central Asia. This role requires a dynamic and highly motivated finance professional who will contribute to the structuring and execution of innovative fixed-income investment projects. The analyst will be expected to provide analytics and market intelligence, working collaboratively with a team of industry experts in a vibrant and dynamic environment. The position is based in London, United Kingdom, and offers an opportunity to engage in meaningful work that supports the mission of the IFC.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: contributing to the structuring, pricing, and execution of hedging and funding transactions through derivatives and capital markets instruments; supporting the structuring and execution of IFC’s local currency bond issuances by providing analytical and transactional support; building, maintaining, and applying sophisticated financial models associated with the structuring and pricing of transactions to ensure accuracy and reliability in the analysis provided; conducting in-depth market research in both local and international fixed income markets; analyzing rating agency methodologies to inform transaction structuring and risk assessment; contributing to business development initiatives and marketing treasury products to clients; establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including international investment banks, local banks, capital market firms, investors, and regulators, to facilitate successful transaction execution and enhance market presence; preparing detailed analytics for investment committees to ensure informed decision-making; contributing to documentation review, portfolio monitoring, and valuation as needed; and participating in global travel as required to support transaction execution and stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Additionally, at least 2 years of previous relevant work experience is required. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of fixed income derivatives, such as cross currency swaps and interest rate swaps, along with strong data analysis and credit risk modeling skills. Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential, as is the ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail under tight deadlines. The candidate should be a highly motivated, results-oriented team player with a positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively across boundaries. Strong oral and written communication skills are also necessary, as well as flexibility and willingness to work in different time zones as required in a global team.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline. This foundational education is critical for understanding the complexities of financial analysis and the derivatives market, which are central to the role of a Financial Analyst in the context of the IFC.

Experience:
The position requires at least 2 years of relevant work experience in finance, particularly in areas related to fixed income derivatives and capital markets. This experience should ideally include exposure to transaction structuring, pricing, and execution, as well as familiarity with market research and analytics. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, showcasing their ability to handle complex financial products and contribute to successful outcomes.

Languages:
The mandatory language requirement for this position is English, which is essential for communication within the organization and with external stakeholders.
