Job Overview:
The IT Solutions Associate position at WFP is designed to provide essential technical support in the development, maintenance, testing, and implementation of IT solutions that align with business requirements. This role is crucial in ensuring that WFP's IT systems are efficient, effective, and compliant with organizational standards. The associate will be involved in various aspects of IT solutions, including documentation, testing, user support, and training. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to enhancing the usability of IT systems for WFP staff and stakeholders. The associate will work closely with the Business Transformation Officer and other team members to ensure that IT solutions meet the evolving needs of the organization and contribute to its strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The IT Solutions Associate will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to: supporting the development and implementation of IT solutions, maintaining up-to-date technical documentation, performing unit and integrated testing of IT systems, assisting in the installation and configuration of IT systems, providing early life support for new IT solutions, resolving user queries, preparing training materials, collecting and analyzing data for reporting purposes, administering user access to systems, conducting system testing and maintenance tasks, and collaborating with data owners to identify data visualization needs. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, ensuring that all IT solutions are running smoothly and efficiently.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the IT Solutions Associate position must possess a University Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field from a recognized institution. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and reporting skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in handling large datasets and a critical thinking mindset are essential. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with team members and users.

Educational Background:
A University Degree in one or more of the following disciplines is required: Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or other related fields. Equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions will also be considered. This educational background is essential for understanding the technical aspects of IT solutions and for effectively contributing to the development and maintenance of these systems.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in a comparable position within the public service, private sector, or an international organization. This experience should include hands-on involvement in IT solution development and implementation, as well as familiarity with the operational needs of organizations similar to WFP. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of successfully managing IT projects and providing technical support in a dynamic environment.

Languages:
Advanced written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and contributing to a more inclusive work environment.
