Job Overview: The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position focuses on event management and communication within the Proklima program, which promotes climate- and ozone-friendly cooling and air conditioning solutions. Interns will gain insights into the operations of a globally active organization in international development cooperation, participate in professional events, and support project implementation. The role involves managing communications with training participants, organizing travel, creating agendas and presentations, conducting webinars, writing website articles, and developing content for social media platforms. Interns will also engage in research and analysis related to ongoing activities under the Montreal Protocol and climate regime, providing a comprehensive overview of Proklima's activities in partner countries and new technological developments in climate-friendly solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the intern include:
Communicating with participants of training sessions and webinars.
Organizing travel arrangements for events.
Creating agendas, presentations, and other event materials.
Supporting the execution of webinars.
Writing articles for the website and managing content on the CMS of the Green Cooling Initiative.
Crafting posts for LinkedIn and designing flyers and other public relations materials.
Conducting research and analysis on current international processes related to the Montreal Protocol and climate policy. This internship will provide valuable experience in event management and public relations, both online and offline, while also enhancing understanding of the current climate debate and obligations under the Montreal Protocol.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have completed a foundational degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree in a relevant field such as refrigeration or environmental engineering, communication, media or political science, journalism, marketing, international relations, languages, or similar disciplines. Additionally, candidates should have an affinity for and preferably prior experience in event management and public relations. Strong writing skills and an eye for appealing design are essential, along with an interest in systematic analysis and the ability to prepare content for diverse target audiences. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint, is required, as well as a keen interest in climate and ozone protection policy and a willingness to engage with technical content.
Educational Background: The position requires a completed foundational degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree in a relevant field. This could include areas such as refrigeration or environmental engineering, communication, media studies, political science, journalism, marketing, international relations, or languages. The educational background should align with the responsibilities of the internship, particularly in relation to event management and communication.
Experience: The internship is designed for candidates who are currently enrolled in a study program or are in a training program that requires the completion of an internship. Candidates should have some prior experience or familiarity with event management and public relations, although specific professional experience is not mandatory. The ability to work independently and under pressure is also important, as is a structured and goal-oriented approach to tasks.
Languages: Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, with excellent verbal and written communication skills required in both languages. Additional language skills, particularly in Spanish and French, are considered advantageous and may enhance a candidate's application.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a study program, in a training program that includes an internship, or have graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship. The monthly stipend for interns is €2,205.04 (gross).
