Job Overview: The position of Asociado(a) Superior de Alianzas at WFP is crucial for supporting resource mobilization efforts and establishing connections with the private sector in Guatemala. The successful candidate will report directly to the National Partnerships Officer and will play a key role in enhancing WFP's partnerships and outreach efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Asociado(a) Superior de Alianzas include conducting market research to identify potential private sector partners, analyzing trends in corporate social responsibility, and developing strategies for engaging with local businesses and individual donors. The role also involves supporting the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, organizing donor meetings and events, and creating high-quality communication materials to promote WFP's mission. The position requires a minimum of seven years of progressive experience in areas related to partnerships with the private sector, resource mobilization strategies, and communication materials development. Strong analytical skills, excellent writing abilities, and effective communication skills are essential. The candidate should also demonstrate organizational capabilities and an understanding of WFP's strategic objectives in Guatemala.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Political Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Economics, Sustainability, Marketing, or Communications. A master's degree in one of these areas is preferred and will enhance the candidate's qualifications for the role.
Experience: The position requires at least seven years of progressively responsible experience in areas related to partnerships with the private sector, resource mobilization, and communication. Candidates should have a proven track record of developing successful partnerships and fundraising strategies, as well as experience in creating communication materials for external audiences. Familiarity with the humanitarian sector and WFP's mission is highly advantageous.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish (native or professional level) is mandatory, while intermediate proficiency in English (minimum B level) is desirable. Knowledge of other UN official languages or indigenous languages from Guatemala is considered an asset and may enhance the candidate's profile.
