Job Overview:
As an intern in the Recruiting / Human Resources department at GIZ International Services, you will be part of the global HR/Recruiting team. Your role will involve actively searching for expert candidates for international project tenders. You will support the Recruiting Managers throughout all steps of the search and selection process within project acquisition. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about the diverse tasks within the International Services sector and to contribute to meaningful projects that have a global impact. You will gain hands-on experience in recruitment processes, candidate assessment, and collaboration with project management teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include: posting job advertisements and actively searching for international experts; assessing expert profiles; directly communicating with potential candidates; organizing and participating in interviews in various languages; preparing documents for project proposals; closely collaborating and exchanging information with project management in international acquisition teams; and assisting in the maintenance and development of our internal expert database. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should be currently studying in fields related to social sciences, political science, economics, or other relevant disciplines for international cooperation. A strong interest in development cooperation and human resources is essential. Previous long-term stays abroad and/or initial work experience in development policy fields or human resources are advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate reliability, motivation, engagement, and strong teamwork skills. Additionally, proficiency in MS Office programs is required, and candidates should be able to adapt quickly to new tasks and environments.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to be currently enrolled in a degree program or in a training program that includes an internship as an integral part. Alternatively, candidates who have graduated within the last six months are also eligible to apply. This ensures that the internship is relevant to the candidate's educational background and career development.

Experience:
While prior experience in development cooperation or human resources is beneficial, it is not mandatory. The internship is designed for students or recent graduates who are looking to gain practical experience in the field of HR and recruitment within an international context. The organization values diverse experiences and is open to candidates who are eager to learn and contribute to the team.

Languages:
Fluent English is a prerequisite for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the team and with candidates. Advanced knowledge of French is highly advantageous, as it will facilitate communication with a broader range of candidates and stakeholders. Proficiency in additional languages may also be beneficial, depending on the specific projects and regions involved.
