This role will provide valuable insights into the workings of an international organization and the complexities of migration management.

Experience:
Interns should have less than two years of relevant working experience. While prior experience in a similar role is not mandatory, familiarity with project management and administrative tasks will be beneficial. Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in using computer applications and tools relevant to the position.

Languages:
Fluency in French, both oral and written, is required for this position. Proficiency in English, also spoken and written, is considered an asset. IOM's official languages are English, French, and Spanish, and language proficiency will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Additional Notes:
The internship is subject to funding confirmation, and the appointment will be contingent upon the candidate's medical fitness for the role, residency verification, visa, and any necessary authorizations from the relevant government authorities. Interns may receive a small monthly stipend to help offset costs, but those receiving financial remuneration or credits from their university or sponsoring body will not be eligible for this stipend. IOM provides coverage for occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan for the duration of the internship, but interns are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accidents or illnesses. IOM has a zero-tolerance policy regarding conduct incompatible with the aims and objectives of the United Nations and IOM, including discrimination and harassment. The organization does not charge any fees during the recruitment process and only accepts applications submitted through its online recruitment system.
