Job Overview:
The Regional Vice President (RVP) position at IFC is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing operations in the Middle East, Central Asia, Turkey, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The RVP will be based in Dubai, UAE, and will report directly to the IFC Managing Director. This role involves collaborating with senior leaders across the World Bank Group to achieve strategic goals and deliver measurable results aligned with the IFC 2030 vision. The RVP will lead business development efforts, manage relationships with private sector clients, governments, and regional development banks, and ensure the effective management of IFC’s investment and advisory portfolios. The position requires a strong focus on maximizing development outcomes while ensuring financial sustainability and managing various risks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Regional Vice President include:
  • Jointly overseeing the development of the World Bank Group Country Partnership Frameworks (CPF) in collaboration with IBRD/IDA Regional VPs and MIGA Operations VP.
  • Leading and coordinating relevant departments to achieve IFC investment and advisory program targets in alignment with CPF objectives.
  • Driving business development initiatives, fostering relationships with private sector clients, governments, investors, and regional development banks.
  • Overseeing IFC’s investment and advisory portfolios to maximize additionality and development outcomes while ensuring financial sustainability and effective risk management.
  • Serving as an active member of the IFC Management Team and contributing to corporate initiatives as required.
  • Providing visionary leadership and effective management of the regional team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Managing the regional budget to ensure strategic priorities are resourced efficiently while maintaining budget discipline.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Regional Vice President position must possess the following qualifications:
  • Unquestionable integrity and alignment with the World Bank Group core values, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence and accountability.
  • An advanced degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
  • A minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in leadership roles within the private sector or development finance.
  • Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to manage a large and diverse team in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
  • Strong collaboration and innovation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a complex organizational structure and cultivate relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to engage with stakeholders and represent IFC and WBG in global forums.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Regional Vice President role includes an advanced degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Finance, or Economics. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of private sector development and investment strategies.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience, particularly in leadership roles that involve managing teams and driving strategic initiatives within the private sector or development finance. Languages:
