Job Overview: The Analyst for Results & Knowledge Management plays a crucial role within the Impact department of the EBRD, focusing on the implementation of the Bank's mandate to promote transition in its countries of operations. This position involves close collaboration with various teams within the organization to enhance internal and external reporting on the transition impact of EBRD activities. The Analyst will support the development of robust results management systems and processes, including the implementation of a theory of change approach and metrics for measuring the impact of EBRD activities. The role also includes assisting in the creation of knowledge management products and ensuring effective communication of the Bank's impact. The Analyst will be expected to contribute to an integrated system of assessment, monitoring, self-evaluation, and knowledge management to maximize the impact of the Bank's initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: assisting in the development and implementation of a new external impact report for the EBRD under the supervision of senior colleagues; providing data analysis to support the development of metrics for measuring and reporting on the transition impact of the Bank's activities; compiling and maintaining relevant datasets; supporting the implementation of improved systems for assessing and measuring transition impact; providing economic and analytical input into methodological work and strategic documents; assisting in the development of knowledge management products and liaising with Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and other partners; and undertaking ad-hoc assignments such as background research, drafting briefings, presentations, and short impact-related analyses.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in economics or a related field from a leading university. In exceptional cases, relevant work experience combined with a strong Bachelor's degree may be considered. Additionally, prior experience in data analysis, results measurement, and/or communication of results or impact is required, ideally gained through full-time employment in a relevant government institution, consultancy, think tank, international organization, or academia. Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential, including proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with other database or analytical software is advantageous. Knowledge of the EBRD region of operations and work or study experience in the region is also beneficial.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in economics or a related field is required for this position. Candidates with a strong Bachelor's degree and relevant work experience may be considered in exceptional cases. The educational background should ideally be from a recognized institution that emphasizes analytical and quantitative skills relevant to the role.
Experience: The position requires prior experience in data analysis, results measurement, and/or communication of results or impact. This experience should ideally be gained through full-time employment in relevant sectors such as government institutions, consultancies, think tanks, international organizations, or academia. Candidates should demonstrate proven analytical and quantitative skills, particularly in the context of impact measurement and reporting.
Languages: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory for this position. Knowledge of one or more languages from the EBRD region is considered an advantage, as it may facilitate communication and collaboration with stakeholders in those areas.
Additional Notes: The position is a regular contract with a specified contract length. The EBRD promotes a flexible working environment, expecting employees to attend the office 50% of their working time.
