Job Overview:
The Partnership Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the UNOPS Ukraine Multi-Country Office's initiatives in Poland. This position involves working under the guidance of the Partnerships Senior Officer to implement a variety of regional programmatic activities. The officer will be responsible for identifying partnership opportunities, promoting UNOPS services, and facilitating high-level meetings with potential partners. The role requires a proactive approach to building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and non-governmental organizations. The officer will also assist in drafting project proposals, concept notes, and technical briefs, ensuring that UNOPS's mission aligns with the needs of its partners and the broader goals of sustainable development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Partnership Officer's duties include scanning for partnership opportunities, facilitating assessments of client needs, and conducting partner survey analyses. The officer will liaise with government agencies to promote UNOPS's visibility and operations in Poland, support the formulation and implementation of annual work plans, and actively promote UNOPS services by building a network of key partners. Responsibilities also include organizing high-level meetings, drafting agreements for new projects, and conducting field visits for needs assessments. The officer will review technical and progress reports, provide advice for improvement, and engage in the internal ERP system for engagement acceptance processes. The role requires close collaboration with project staff to share information and knowledge, ensuring effective partner relations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Business Administration, political science, international relations, or related fields. Alternatively, a first-level university degree in these areas, combined with two years of relevant experience, may be accepted. The position requires a minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in project development, report writing, strategic planning, and partnerships at the international level. Experience in development and humanitarian assistance in the region is essential, and previous experience with the UN and dealing with bilateral and multilateral donors is desirable.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include an advanced university degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, political science, or international relations. Candidates with a first-level university degree and two years of relevant experience may also be considered. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of partnerships and project management in a global context.

Experience:
The Partnership Officer should have at least two years of progressively responsible experience in project development, report writing, and strategic planning, particularly in an international context. Experience in development and humanitarian assistance is required, along with familiarity with the UN system and experience working with bilateral and multilateral donors. This level of experience is necessary to effectively navigate the challenges of partnership development and program implementation.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Polish is mandatory for this position, both in written and spoken forms. This requirement ensures effective communication with local partners and stakeholders, as well as with international colleagues. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not explicitly required for this role.

Additional Notes:
This position is classified as a local position, open to nationals of Poland and individuals with a valid residence/work permit. The contract type is ICA, with a local ICA Specialist level, and it is open-ended, subject to organizational requirements, availability of funds, and satisfactory performance.
