Duties and Responsibilities: The Asistente Técnico Educación will be responsible for ensuring adherence to NRC's policies and guidelines while implementing the education project portfolio according to the action plan. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining knowledge of educational competencies in the area of work, organizing tasks based on sector priorities, and contributing to problem-solving within established procedures. The assistant will prepare reports for management, ensure proper documentation storage, and promote ideas to enhance support functions. Specific duties include prioritizing zones and beneficiaries, designing educational response strategies, conducting workshops for beneficiaries, providing pedagogical support, and monitoring the implementation of emergency education strategies. The role also involves logistical and administrative support for educational activities, consolidating participant information, producing reports on services delivered, and participating in project coordination and planning routines.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of one year of work experience in humanitarian contexts, with knowledge and experience in relevant technical fields such as education or social sciences. A professional qualification in education or related fields is preferred. Previous experience in complex and changing environments, as well as proven experience related to the responsibilities of the position, is essential. Basic knowledge of English is required, along with familiarity with virtual, flexible, and hybrid educational models.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate should hold a university degree in social sciences or education, preferably in early childhood education. A higher technical qualification in relevant fields such as social work or education is also acceptable. Candidates with a Normalista Superior or technical/technologist background in education are encouraged to apply.
Experience: The position requires at least one year of relevant work experience in emergency education contexts, particularly with vulnerable populations affected by armed conflict or migration. Experience in social projects and fieldwork with at-risk populations is highly valued, as is familiarity with the Colombian educational policies and frameworks that guarantee the right to education for vulnerable children.
