Job Overview: The EBRD is seeking a dynamic part-time Associate to join its Communications Department, focusing on digital media. This role, based in Warsaw, is pivotal in supporting the bank's communications efforts across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in digital communications and content creation, with a proven track record of working across various media channels. The position is designed for a media-savvy professional who thrives in a multinational, fast-paced environment and is passionate about amplifying EBRD’s impact through strategic communication. The Associate will be responsible for managing and executing digital communication initiatives, developing engaging content, and implementing communications strategies tailored for regional audiences, ensuring alignment with EBRD’s global messaging.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Associate will manage and execute digital communication initiatives across multiple platforms, including social media, corporate websites, and multimedia content, with a particular focus on Poland and Ukraine. Key responsibilities include developing engaging content that highlights EBRD’s projects and achievements, implementing and adapting communications strategies for regional audiences, and monitoring social media to safeguard EBRD’s reputation. The role also requires collaboration with teams across EBRD’s regions to ensure timely and effective content delivery, as well as an understanding of social media analytics and the ability to work with analytics platforms such as Emplify.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Proven experience in digital communications, digital channels management, or content creation is essential. Strong writing and editing skills in English are required, with proficiency in Ukrainian considered a plus. Familiarity with content management systems, audience analytics, and multimedia production is necessary. The ideal candidate should be able to navigate complex, multinational environments and work independently under tight deadlines, demonstrating a results-driven mindset with strong organizational and project management skills. Experience in international development, donor communications, or multilateral organizations is also beneficial, along with basic skills in video editing, graphic design, or social media analytics.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, media, or a related field is required. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered in lieu of formal education. The educational background should ideally provide a solid foundation in communication strategies, media relations, and digital content creation.
Experience: The position requires proven experience in digital communications, digital channels management, or content creation. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multinational environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines. Experience in international development or working with multilateral organizations is highly desirable, as it aligns with EBRD’s mission and operational context.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in Ukrainian considered a significant advantage. Knowledge of another regional language is also highly desirable, as it will enhance communication efforts across EBRD’s diverse operational regions.
Additional Notes: This is a part-time position with a contract length of 12 months. The role is based in Warsaw, Poland, and requires the employee to attend the office 50% of their working time.
