Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Security Officer will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: adhering to NRC policies and guidelines, conducting security and risk assessments, training staff in safety and security protocols, reporting breaches of security procedures, facilitating staff hibernation and evacuation during emergencies, supervising and developing security staff, ensuring the availability and condition of safety equipment, and preparing necessary security reports. The officer will also be expected to maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders, including local NGOs, civil society, and other humanitarian actors, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the security landscape in the operational area.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree and have a minimum of four years of relevant experience in the field of Health, Safety, and Security (HSS). Experience in complex and volatile contexts, particularly in Sudan, is essential. The candidate should demonstrate technical expertise in HSS and have documented results related to the responsibilities of the position. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders are critical for success in this role.

Educational Background:
A university degree in a relevant field is required for this position. Candidates with additional certifications or training in security management, risk assessment, or related areas will be viewed favorably. Continuous professional development in HSS practices is encouraged to stay updated with the latest trends and methodologies in the field.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of professional experience in Health, Safety, and Security roles, particularly in challenging environments.
