Job Overview:
The position of Praktikant*in in the LSS S4GIZ Workstream Auftragsmanagement and Regionalabteilung Asien I involves supporting the department team in various tasks related to qualification management. This includes participation in the conception, planning, and execution of information exchange events and training sessions. The intern will assist in preparing and structuring training materials and content production, as well as managing knowledge in qualification and feedback management. The role also entails supporting the operational business, particularly through country management throughout the project cycle, creating presentations and information packets, conducting research on selected topics, and participating in internal meetings and strategic discussions with clients. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive insights into the work of GIZ and to engage in an innovative team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
  • Assisting in the conception, planning, and execution of information exchange and training events.
  • Supporting the preparation and structuring of training materials and content production for quick access.
  • Preparing for and following up on live online training sessions.
  • Actively managing knowledge in qualification and feedback management.
  • Supporting the country management of the department throughout the entire project cycle.
  • Creating presentations and information packets.
  • Conducting research on selected topics and compiling findings.
  • Participating in internal meetings and strategic discussions with clients.
  • Attending internal and external professional events organized by the company.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed a basic study or BA with a relevant background in computer science, business informatics, or social sciences, with proven in-depth knowledge in computer science. They should possess excellent skills in recognizing causal relationships and structuring complex topics. A conscientious, efficient, and independent working style is essential, along with the ability to independently write high-quality texts in both German and English. Strong teamwork and communication skills, as well as high self-organization and motivation, are also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a completed basic study or a bachelor's degree in fields such as computer science, business informatics, or social sciences. Candidates should have demonstrated advanced knowledge in computer science, which is crucial for the tasks involved in this internship.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to be currently enrolled in a study program, participating in a training program that includes an internship as an integral part, or having graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship. This ensures that the intern is up-to-date with current academic knowledge and practices relevant to the role.

Languages:
Proficiency in both German and English is mandatory, with the ability to write texts independently and at a high linguistic quality. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not specified as mandatory.
