Job Overview: The Team Assistant will play a crucial role within the World Bank Group (WBG) Korea Office, which serves as a hub for cooperation between the WBG and the Republic of Korea. This position involves providing comprehensive operational and administrative support to facilitate the implementation of the unit's work program. The Team Assistant will be responsible for coordinating various activities, including project development, implementation, and supervision, while also liaising with team members and service units. The role requires effective communication and organizational skills to manage schedules, support mission delegations, and assist in the planning of events such as conferences and workshops. The Team Assistant will also handle client relationships and serve as a point of contact between clients, partners, and project teams, ensuring smooth operations within the office.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Team Assistant's duties include providing a full range of operational and administrative support for the implementation of the unit's work program. This involves coordinating mission delegations for the Korea-World Bank Partnership Facility (KWPF) and the Korea Green Growth Trust Fund (KGGTF), including scheduling visits, arranging transportation, and setting up meetings. The assistant will also support the organization of events, manage travel requests, process expenses, and maintain project files. Additionally, the Team Assistant will update the Korean partner directory, monitor schedules, assist in client relationship management, and produce various documents and reports. The role requires proficiency in using standard software packages for drafting correspondence and reports, as well as effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Proficient writing and communication skills in English are essential, along with the ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively. Candidates must demonstrate excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with business processes and the ability to execute intricate work procedures accurately and timely are also required. Strong time management and organizational skills, along with a commitment to teamwork and interpersonal effectiveness in a multicultural environment, are crucial for success in this role.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this position, providing a foundational understanding of administrative and operational functions within an organizational context. The educational background should ideally include coursework or training relevant to administration, office support, or a related field, equipping candidates with the necessary skills to perform effectively in the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or operational support role.
