Job Overview:
The Technical Consultant for EOF Leadership Team Support will play a crucial role in providing technical guidance to the Education Outcomes Fund (EOF) leadership team. This position is designed to support the successful implementation of EOF's strategic plan for 2025, which aims to improve education and employment outcomes for 10 million children and youth. The consultant will assist in preparing for high-profile events, governance meetings, and mission travels, ensuring that the EOF leadership is well-prepared and informed. The consultant will also coordinate logistics and provide strategic insights to enhance the effectiveness of EOF's initiatives, particularly in addressing learning poverty and youth unemployment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance documents for EOF leadership attendance at high-profile events, including logistical and strategic information.
  • Prepare pre-reading packs for EOF governance meetings, ensuring all necessary logistics and technology are organized.
  • Offer technical guidance for leadership mission travel, including the preparation of detailed guidance documents.
  • Organize strategic offsite meetings for EOF leadership, including logistics and content preparation.
  • Create briefing documents for leadership attendance at significant meetings with partners, ensuring thorough research and alignment with EOF's goals.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Communications, Education, International Development, Politics, Economics, or a related field is required. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in event management, project management, management consultancy, or executive assistance is essential. Experience in organizing international travel and events is strongly preferred, along with knowledge of the international development and global education sectors. Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in another UN language is an asset.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Management, Communications, Education, International Development, Politics, or Economics. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of the role and the sector in which UNICEF operates.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, particularly in areas such as event management, project management, and consultancy. Candidates should have a proven track record of organizing complex international travel and events, demonstrating the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position. Additionally, knowledge of another UN language is considered an asset, enhancing communication capabilities within the international context of UNICEF's work.
