Job Overview: The position of Praktikant*in in the Group for Regulations, Information Management, and Business Capability is situated within the Department of Corporate Organization. This department supports the management of GIZ in ensuring an efficient organizational structure and processes across all business areas. The intern will be involved in advising on the further development of GIZ's regulatory framework, which serves as a central steering instrument for the organization. Additionally, the role includes addressing fundamental questions regarding the legal prerequisites for GIZ's work abroad and ensuring proper handling of business-relevant information, which encompasses compliance with legal and internal requirements, thorough documentation for audit purposes, risk reduction, and establishing a standard operation for records management.
Duties and Responsibilities: During the internship, the intern will accompany various projects, including the IT project for transitioning the company-wide archiving system to Microsoft SharePoint and the company-wide classification project. The intern will assist in creating new and adapting existing internal GIZ regulations in collaboration with responsible organizational units. They will support the regulatory change process in cooperation with the language service and process feedback on our procedures and regulations. The intern will gain insights into international legal assurance and business capability. Throughout the internship, the intern will contribute to the creation, development, and implementation of documents for various target groups and assist the team in maintaining various lists, including the Records List.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess knowledge in relevant fields such as business administration, management and organizational development, business informatics, digitalization, information technology, communication, economics, political science, IT, law, or comparable areas. An analytical understanding and conceptual thinking, along with a very careful and structured working style, are essential. A strong affinity for digital tools and topics, an interest in trends in digitalization, and enjoyment in working with digital media are also important. Proficiency in IT tools (MS365, especially SharePoint) and mastery of interfaces such as MS Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, MS List, and Planner are required. Fluency in German and English is mandatory, while knowledge of French and/or Spanish is advantageous. A high degree of independence, personal commitment, and reliability, along with teamwork skills, openness, and enjoyment in communication and social interaction, are also necessary. A structured, goal-oriented, and independent working style, as well as analytical and conceptual abilities, are crucial for success in this role.
Educational Background: The internship is only possible if the candidate is currently enrolled in a study program, is in a training program that requires an internship as an integral part, or if the graduation date is no more than six months prior to the start of the internship.
