Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Plumber (Water Technician) include:
Installing new plumbing systems and fixtures, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.
Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of existing plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Repairing or replacing damaged plumbing equipment and fixtures, including sinks, toilets, and piping systems.
Collaborating with other technical staff, contractors, and community representatives to ensure the successful implementation of WASH projects.
Preparing detailed specifications for spare parts and equipment needed for repairs and maintenance.
Providing technical support and training to local water guards and operators to build their capacity in managing water supply systems.

Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Plumber (Water Technician) position include:
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a plumber or water technician, preferably in a humanitarian or relief context.
A diploma or certificate from a recognized educational institution in Water Supply installation and networking works, including plumbing and pump installation.
Strong knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of electromechanical equipment, including pumps and generators.
Proficiency in report writing, data recording, and computer skills, particularly in word processing and spreadsheets.
Familiarity with technical drawing software (preferably AutoCAD and Water CAD) and project management software is desirable.
Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication and reporting.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a diploma or certificate from a qualified educational institute that specializes in Water Supply installation and networking works.
