Job Overview:
The ICT Senior Associate position is crucial for ensuring the effective management and administration of ICT client services within the UNOPS framework. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing ICT strategies that align with UNOPS policies, providing user support, and maintaining the operational integrity of ICT systems. This role requires a proactive approach to network administration, ensuring stable connectivity and data security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, as well as supporting general administrative functions. The position also involves team management, fostering a collaborative environment, and promoting knowledge sharing among team members. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in information technology and/or telecommunications, preferably in an international context. A strong background in computer usage, particularly with Google Suites, is required. Experience in managing Active Directory, Windows servers, and network infrastructure is considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to UNOPS values and possess the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
Educational Background:
Completion of Secondary Education is required. A technical/professional license or diploma, or a first university degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields is preferred and may substitute for some required experience.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in information technology and telecommunications. This experience should include a strong understanding of ICT systems and the ability to manage complex IT environments effectively. Experience in an international setting is highly desirable, as is familiarity with UNOPS operations and standards.
Languages:
Full working knowledge of English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required for this position.

The contract type for this position is a Local ICA Contract at level LICA 07/ICS 07, with an ongoing duration subject to organizational requirements, availability of funds, and satisfactory performance. - Overseeing network administration to ensure stable operation and availability of bandwidth, as well as monitoring data backups and disaster recovery processes.
- Supporting general administration tasks, including procurement of office supplies and travel management.
- Facilitating team management through effective work planning, performance management, and promoting learning and development.
- Engaging in knowledge building and sharing best practices within the organization and with external partners.
