Job Overview: The GBViE Analyst is responsible for coordinating and monitoring Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response interventions in disaster-affected areas of the Philippines, particularly in Region V (Bicol). This position involves maintaining collaborative relationships with national and local government entities, NGOs, civil society, and UN agencies. The Analyst will support the UNFPA Humanitarian Response program, ensuring the continuity of life-saving GBV services and providing technical guidance to implementing partners. Duties and Responsibilities: The GBViE Analyst will be responsible for providing GBV-related programmatic support and quality assurance for ongoing UNFPA humanitarian responses. Key duties include conducting rapid assessments of GBV needs, representing UNFPA in inter-agency meetings, supporting the functionality of GBV coordination mechanisms, and contributing to strategic planning for disaster risk reduction. The Analyst will also assist in the procurement and distribution of GBV-related supplies, monitor implementation activities, prepare reports for donors, and document lessons learned in GBV program implementation. Additionally, the Analyst will ensure adherence to international technical standards and guidance in GBV prevention and response activities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in social work, public health, gender studies, law, human rights, international relations, or related social science disciplines. They should have experience addressing GBV at national or sub-national levels, preferably in a humanitarian context. Direct support experience to GBV survivors is considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to UNFPA's values of integrity and cultural diversity.
