Job Overview: The Project Officer will play a crucial role in the implementation of the three-year project "Uniting Against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC)." This project aims to protect children from online harm in Manila, Dasmarinas, Cavite, and Llorente, Eastern Samar. The Project Officer will be responsible for mobilizing communities to identify and address challenges related to online child sexual exploitation. They will facilitate training and awareness-raising activities on online safety and child protection for various stakeholders, including children, youth, parents, teachers, and community leaders. Additionally, the Project Officer will collaborate with local government units, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders to strengthen child protection systems and advocate for policy changes that create a safer online environment for children.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Project Officer include:
Mobilizing communities to identify and address challenges related to online child sexual exploitation.
Facilitating training and awareness-raising activities on online safety and child protection for children, youth, parents, teachers, and community leaders.
Collaborating with local government units, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders to improve child protection systems and mechanisms.
Advocating for policy and legislative changes to create a safer online environment for children.
Monitoring and evaluating project activities to ensure effectiveness and impact.
Preparing reports and documentation related to project progress and outcomes.

Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Project Officer position include:

At least 3 years of experience in community development, with a strong focus on child protection and community-based approaches.
