The Project Management Office (PMO) plays a vital role in steering this complex project by assisting the project management team with both organizational and technical tasks. The successful candidate will be expected to engage actively in project planning, monitoring deliverables, and risk management, while also contributing to the creation of status reports and presentations for GIZ committees and the board.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Junior-Projektmanager*in will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:
Supporting the project management and the PMO with a focus on project planning, tracking project deliverables, and monitoring risks.
Assisting in the preparation of status reports and presentations for GIZ committees and the board.
Participating in the planning, organization, and implementation of resource planning for project phases.
Collaborating in the design and execution of internal and external workshops and events, both virtually and in person.
Providing support for administrative and organizational tasks as needed.
Engaging in knowledge management, delivering presentations, and developing communication formats as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a completed university degree in economics, social sciences, administrative sciences, or a technical field. Additionally, they should have initial work experience in project management, particularly in digitalization projects, including risk monitoring and resource planning. Familiarity with project management tools is essential, along with a strong affinity for IT and proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel and Project, as well as initial experience with SAP Solution Manager. Strong communication skills are necessary to present complex issues clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. The candidate should also demonstrate high organizational skills, initiative, and a willingness to adapt to dynamic conditions. Proficiency in both German and English is required.
