Job Overview: The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is part of the 'Integrated Response Hub for Ukraine' project, which supports the Federal Foreign Office and the German Embassy in Kyiv in strengthening the resilience and capacity of Ukraine. The project aims to empower state and civil society actors in regions heavily affected by war and to make international solidarity tangible on the ground. The project, which has an office in Warsaw, includes flexible modules that can be adjusted according to the course of the war or political dynamics, always aligning with the needs identified by Ukrainian partners. Additionally, measures are coordinated with other international stabilization actors to ensure coherent operational actions.
Duties and Responsibilities: As an intern, you will support the team with various tasks, including: structuring, maintaining, and analyzing data related to procurement and logistics processes; assisting in the creation of analyses, concepts, and reports in the area of stabilization in Ukraine; providing support on public procurement and delivery topics to Ukrainian partners, with a focus on tracking and documenting logistics; contributing to knowledge management, and possibly monitoring and evaluation; assisting in daily operations and taking on coordination and research tasks, as well as preparing data and information in an understandable manner; supporting event organization; and participating in internal and external meetings and conferences, documenting them as necessary. Furthermore, you will familiarize yourself with the structures and working methods of GIZ GmbH.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should be studying in fields such as economics, business administration, logistics, or a related area. You should be reliable, structured, results-oriented, and capable of presenting complex issues in an understandable way. Teamwork and cooperation are essential, and while knowledge of procurement law or procurement processes is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite. Basic knowledge of German development cooperation/international cooperation, including its structures, is beneficial. Proficiency in common MS Office programs is required, along with fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Ukrainian and Russian is a plus.
Educational Background: The position requires candidates to be currently enrolled in a university program, participating in a training program that includes an internship as an integral part, or having graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship.
Experience: While specific prior experience is not mandatory, familiarity with the fields of economics, business administration, or logistics will be beneficial. The internship is designed for students or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in international cooperation and development.
Languages: Fluent German and English are mandatory for this position. Knowledge of Ukrainian and Russian is considered advantageous but not essential.

The monthly intern compensation is €2,205.04 (gross).
