Job Overview:
The position of Praktikant*in in Qualitätssicherung und methodische Beratung involves supporting the quality assurance and methodological consulting of GIZ projects. The intern will work within the Fach- und Methodenbereich (FMB), which is responsible for ensuring that GIZ projects meet international and national standards of development cooperation. The intern will assist in various tasks related to project and quality management, contributing to the development of methodological guidelines and base documents, conducting research, and preparing presentations. This role is crucial for maintaining the quality and effectiveness of GIZ's project management processes, and it offers an opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and interdisciplinary team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As an intern, you will support the 'Qualitätsprüfung Angebote' group within the PiK of the FMB. Your responsibilities may include: assisting in methodological and conceptual inquiries related to project and quality management; supporting the process management of quality assurance; contributing to the revision of methodological guidelines and base documents; conducting research, evaluations, and presentations; providing content and logistical support for workshops, training sessions, and virtual events; coordinating virtual and digital applications, including managing MS Teams rooms and OneNote agendas; and assisting with various organizational and administrative tasks, as well as digital topics and processes.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher. A focus on development policy is advantageous. Applicants should be familiar with the institutions and basic concepts of international cooperation and be able to efficiently research background information on relevant topics. An interest in methods and evaluation approaches related to development cooperation is essential. Ideally, candidates will have some international experience, demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work independently. They should be able to quickly adapt to new tasks and understand complex processes. Proficiency in German, both written and spoken, is required, along with the ability to write clear and concise texts. Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams, and OneNote), are also necessary.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher. A specialization in development policy is preferred, as it aligns with the organization's focus on international cooperation and development.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have some prior experience, particularly in international contexts or development-related fields. While specific years of experience are not mandated, any relevant internships or volunteer work in similar areas will be beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in German is mandatory, as the role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills in the language. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly English, would be considered an asset but is not explicitly required for this position.
