Job Overview:
The Shelter-WASH Project Coordinator position is designed to implement the Shelter-WASH project portfolio in Libya, specifically in Benghazi. The role involves managing a team of Shelter-WASH project leaders and ensuring that all projects adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines. The coordinator will contribute to the development of national strategies for Shelter-WASH, assist in project proposals, and provide insights on needs and gaps in the community. The position requires managing and implementing a delegated portfolio of Shelter-WASH projects, ensuring high technical quality and compliance with donor requirements. The coordinator will also be responsible for regular reporting to the Project Manager and will work closely with local authorities and stakeholders to promote the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and returnees. The role emphasizes capacity building of project staff and exploring innovative ways to assist beneficiaries effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Line Management: Overseeing the Shelter-WASH projects team leaders and ensuring effective team performance.
• Strategy Development: Supporting the Shelter Project Manager and WaSH Programme Development Manager in developing and revising strategies for Shelter and WaSH based on area-level analysis.
• Project Implementation: Ensuring successful implementation of Shelter-WASH projects throughout the project cycle, adhering to technical quality standards.
• Assessments: Conducting needs assessments, including Rapid Needs Assessments and Multi-Sector Needs Assessments, to inform project planning.
• Protection Mainstreaming: Ensuring that all project activities prioritize the safety and dignity of beneficiaries and comply with protection strategies.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Responsible for high-quality monitoring and evaluation of Shelter and WaSH activities, ensuring accurate reporting of achievements.
• Collaboration: Maintaining a collaborative working environment with team members and other departments, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Compliance: Ensuring adherence to NRC policies and procedures, including legal and compliance requirements.
