Job Overview:
The Tennis Instructor position at the United Nations Events & Wellness Centre (UNEWC) is designed to provide professional tennis coaching and related services to UN staff members and select members of the diplomatic community. The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality tennis instruction, developing engaging outreach initiatives, and ensuring that the tennis facilities are well-maintained and accessible. This role requires a proactive approach to client engagement and a commitment to promoting wellness through sports. The instructor will work under the supervision of the Unit Chief and will be integral to enhancing the overall fitness experience at the Wellness Centre.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Tennis Instructor will have a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Providing professional tennis coaching and instruction to members and guests of the UN Wellness Centre.
  • Designing and implementing tennis programs that cater to different skill levels and age groups.
  • Developing marketing materials and outreach initiatives to promote tennis lessons and increase participation.
  • Ensuring that tennis courts are clean, well-maintained, and ready for use by members.
  • Assisting in the management of tennis bookings and ensuring accurate record-keeping of services rendered.
  • Maintaining a client database to track progress and engagement.
  • Advising clients on tennis-related matters and providing personalized coaching feedback.
  • Collaborating with other fitness professionals to enhance the overall wellness offerings at the Centre.
  • Performing additional duties as required to support the operations of the Wellness Centre.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a High School Certificate as a minimum educational requirement. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a reputable organization or setting is required. A certificate in tennis coaching or related qualifications is also mandatory. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and possess excellent communication skills.

Educational Background:
The position requires at least a High School Certificate. Candidates with additional certifications in tennis coaching or related fields will be preferred, as these qualifications will enhance the instructor's ability to deliver effective coaching and design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design.

Experience:
The Tennis Instructor must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in tennis coaching or a similar role within a reputable organization. Fluency in oral and written English is required for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, as it can enhance communication with a diverse clientele.
