Job Overview:
The Workday Consultant position at WFP is crucial for supporting and enhancing the current configuration of Workday HCM, particularly in relation to Talent Management business processes. The consultant will work closely with the hypercare project team and HR units both at headquarters and in the field to understand their business needs, assess challenges, and provide digital solutions that facilitate HR’s digital transformation. This role requires a proactive approach to addressing complex challenges and requirements, leveraging Workday expertise to promote best practices and ensure optimal system performance. The consultant will also be responsible for prototyping and configuring solutions in Workday, ensuring compatibility with all HCM modules, and assisting in user testing and training internal resources. This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of WFP's HR operations, ultimately contributing to the organization's mission of delivering humanitarian assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Workday Consultant will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities including: collaborating with the hypercare project team and HR units to understand business needs; assessing challenges and providing digital solutions; working with Workday Product owners and functional leads to prioritize requests and manage the backlog; ensuring efficient configuration of Workday HCM; proactively addressing complex challenges with innovative solutions; prototyping and configuring solutions in Workday; demonstrating prototypes to stakeholders and making amendments as needed; ensuring functional solutions are compatible with all Workday modules; assisting in the creation of test scenarios and facilitating user testing; leading and prioritizing the backlog; resolving issues and bugs; supporting data migration and integrations; and participating in training and knowledge sharing activities. Additional tasks may be assigned as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. They should have existing and up-to-date Workday Certification, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience implementing Workday HCM as a certified Workday implementer. Experience in solution design, system configuration, and implementation of changes within Workday is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to delivery excellence and client relationship management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines despite conflicting demands. Knowledge of Workday business processes and configurations for HCM, as well as core HR concepts, is required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary, along with effective interpersonal skills for collaboration.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in fields such as Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related area of study. This foundational education is critical for understanding the technical and operational aspects of Workday HCM and its implementation.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have at least 5 years of prior experience implementing Workday HCM, with a focus on being a certified Workday implementer. This experience should include solution design, system configuration, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions within Workday. Proven experience in managing cross-functional and multicultural teams is also essential, as well as a demonstrated commitment to excellence in delivery and client relationship management.

Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English is mandatory, along with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, or Portuguese, which are among WFP’s working languages.
